- Select Hot Key
Two drop down list boxes represent the Hot Key used to activate the Brock Hot Key Software. The first list is used for the optional combo key such as the SHIFT, CONTROL, ALT or WIN keys. The second list represents the actual key used to activate the software. Allowed keys are F1-12, NUMPAD0-NUMPAD9.
- Auto Select Option
There may be times when the software finds more than one Hollander# in the screen you are working on. In such cases it will prompt you to select the Hollander# you want to view from the list of matches. If Auto select is enabled (checked) then you will not be prompted and instead the software will automatically always choose the first number found.
- Support Partial Hollander# Option
If your business software only displays the last half of a Hollander interchange number then check this option to search for 3-5 digit hollander numbers.
- Support Landmark Option
Landmark searching uses two keyword positions and extracts the text between those two positions. This method can be used for situations where your business software doesn't use full hollander# for interchanges.
- Debug Option
If the debug option should be left disabled (unchecked). This feature is used to help trouble shoot the software by Brock IT employees.

Further details about using the program are found below.- Launching the Program
Brock Hot Key can be launched by either clicking the "Brock Hot Key" shortcut on the Desktop or by clicking the "Brock Hot Key" shortcut in the "Start Menu > Program Files > Brock Key" menu. When run, a small window will appear on the desktop with a menu and list box for the Hollander# history. If you do not want to see the window simply minimize it and it will disappear from the task bar and only reside in the System Tray.
- System Tray
Brock Hot Key keeps an Icon in your System Tray. Double Clicking this Icon will either hide or show the Brock Hot Key program. Minimizing Brock Hot Key will also hide the program.
- Hot Key
The keyboard button combination used to activate the Brock Hot Key software is called the Hot Key. This can be either a single button, or a combination of 2 buttons. The Hot Key can be specified in the Settings dialog reached through the menu option "Settings". By default the Hot Key is "F3".
- History
When you use Brock Hot Key it will save the Hollander# in your history list. Revisiting the Brock Page for a previously viewed part is as simple as selecting the Hollander# in the history list and pressing the "View Page" button.
- Multiple Matches
When activated, the Brock Hot Key software scans the current window to extract the Hollander Interchange # from it. Should the program detect more than one potential Hollander # it will prompt you with a window to select the Hollander# you want to view. Simply select the match you want to view and the dialog will dismiss itself and take you to the web page. If this feature is not desired, you can enable the Auto Select option in the settings dialog and it will always automatically choose the first Hollander# found.
